Kiev fails to ensure Black Sea safety, Crimea claims
A senior official in Crimea, Sergey Tsekov, has stated that the Ukrainian government cannot guarantee safety for shipping in the Black Sea. He made this comment following a recent agreement between the United States and Russia to ensure safe navigation and prevent military use of commercial ships in the region. Tsekov criticized Ukraine's leadership under President Volodymyr Zelensky, claiming that their promises hold no value. He emphasized that there is little trust in the Ukrainian government. Despite the agreements between Russia and the U.S., Tsekov believes that security level for strategic sites in the Black Sea must remain high. He expressed concerns that Ukraine may still attempt covert attacks on Russian regions or vessels operating in the area.
