A mother from Bristol, Leanne Ekland, is heartbroken after losing her 16-year-old son, Max, who was killed in a violent attack last year. Max and his friend Mason were mistaken for gang rivals by a group of teenagers and were attacked with machetes. Sadly, both boys died the next day. Leanne found some comfort when all four attackers were sentenced to life in prison. However, her pain deepened when she learned that one of the killers, Kodi-Shai Westcott, has been posting disturbing rap lyrics online from prison. The lyrics celebrate the brutal murder of her son, referencing the time it took for the attack. Leanne was shocked to discover these posts, which violate prison rules. Despite bringing this issue to the Prison Service's attention, she has not received a response about what actions will be taken against Westcott. She shared her story on Good Morning Britain, where many people showed their support for her. Leanne now seeks justice and accountability for the pain caused by Westcott’s actions. She has been invited to meet with the minister for Youth Justice and Sentencing to discuss the matter further.
