King Charles dated Princess Diana's sister before marriage
King Charles had a brief romance with Princess Diana's sister, Lady Sarah McCorquodale, before he married Diana. This week, Lady Sarah celebrated her 70th birthday, drawing attention to her past relationship with the prince. In 1977, as Diana was being introduced to Prince Charles, he and Lady Sarah were already growing closer. They even took a trip together to a ski resort in Switzerland. However, their relationship ended when Charles learned Sarah had spoken to a journalist about him. She reportedly told the journalist that she wouldn't marry Charles, no matter his rank. Charles confronted Sarah about the conversation, expressing his disappointment. After their romance ended, Charles went on to date Diana. Interestingly, Lady Sarah later helped to introduce them, playfully claiming, "I am cupid." Lady Sarah eventually married Neil McCorquodale. Following Diana's death, her sons, Prince William and Prince Harry, became very close to their late mother's family.
