Kingdee launches AI model DeepSeek for customizable solutions

Kingdee, a major Chinese software company, is making waves with its new AI product called DeepSeek. This software is designed to help businesses create customized AI agents. George Liu, the company's vice-president, praised DeepSeek, saying it is open-source and offers large benefits to both Kingdee and its clients. Last month, Kingdee announced that it had integrated DeepSeek into its services. This includes areas like finance, human resources, and supply chain management. The company also launched a new platform, Cosmic, that allows businesses to develop their own AI agents based on DeepSeek technology. Kingdee has seen its shares rise around 90 percent this year, reflecting strong investor interest. Company president Zhang Yong highlighted that before DeepSeek, many software vendors had limited capabilities. Developing large AI models was often too costly for companies. DeepSeek has changed that dynamic, making technology more accessible. Xu Shaochun, Kingdee’s founder and CEO, mentioned that DeepSeek has allowed the company to gain control over its technology. This shift is seen as a significant change in the AI landscape, enabling Kingdee to operate more independently.
