"Kingmakers" reveals army simulations and destructible environments
The game "Kingmakers" is making headlines again after a new showcase at the Future Games Show. This game mixes first-person shooting and real-time strategy. It features an attack helicopter battling thousands of knights in medieval England. Players will travel back to the year 1401. They assist Welsh rebel leader Owain Glyndŵr against English forces. The game's developer, Ian Fisch, shared that the soldiers are fully simulated. They can navigate complex castles using advanced pathfinding, similar to modern video games. Every building and fortification in "Kingmakers" can be destroyed. Players can demolish structures with explosives or vehicles. The game's impressive physics are powered by Unreal Engine 4, making destruction dynamic and not scripted. Players can also team up with friends in online co-op mode. "Kingmakers" will be available on Steam with early access and may also come to major consoles. While there is no specific release date yet, the developer aims for 2025. More updates are expected later this year. Interested players can add the game to their wishlists on Steam and follow it on Twitter.
