Kirk Hammett releasing book about his guitar collection
Kirk Hammett, the guitarist of Metallica, is releasing a new book titled "The Collection: Kirk Hammett." This book focuses on his impressive guitar collection and his experiences in music. The book is 400 pages long and features details about his guitars, including a 1979 Flying V and the famous "Greeny," a 1959 Gibson Les Paul previously owned by rock legends. It includes interviews and photography shot by renowned rock photographer Ross Halfin in locations like Hawaii and Los Angeles. Hammett expressed his excitement about the book, stating that it captures the history and artistry of each guitar. He believes every picture tells a story. A video narrated by actor Jason Momoa promotes the book, emphasizing the thrill of finding the right guitar. "The Collection: Kirk Hammett" will be available in three formats: a standard edition, a limited deluxe edition of 1,500 copies, and a custom edition of 300 copies, with the latter two signed by Hammett. In addition to the book, Metallica recently announced a new virtual reality concert film in collaboration with Apple. This film will feature footage from the band's latest tour and their performances of popular songs. Metallica continues to tour, with upcoming shows in North America supported by bands like Pantera and Limp Bizkit. They will also perform at Black Sabbath's final concert in July.
