KKR and RR lose Right to Match option in IPL mega auction

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) will not be able to use the Right to Match (RTM) card in the upcoming IPL mega auction. This is because both teams retained their full quota of six players before the auction. The auction will take place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on November 24 and 25, featuring 574 players. The RTM card allows teams to match bids for players from their previous season, but only if they have not used all their player retentions. The auction will also include an accelerated process after 116 players are presented. The first session will focus on marquee players, including KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant, starting at 3:30 PM IST.
