KLE Institute hosts 28th Scientific Dental Convention

Belagavi: KLE Vishwanath Katti Institute of Dental Sciences held its 28th Scientific Convention on Tuesday. The event took place at the institute and involved the departments of conservative dentistry and endodontics as well as dental education. The convention highlighted academic excellence and innovation. It also showed the institute's dedication to scientific research and ethical practices in dentistry. Around 100 scientific presentations were made, including papers, posters, and table clinics, showcasing the hard work of the students. Dr Ushy Mohandas, a well-known pedodontist, opened the event. She spoke about the importance of innovation, ethics, and compassion in dental practices. Her insights inspired many young attendees. Another keynote speaker, Dr Krithika Datta, discussed ‘Minimalistic Dentistry.’ The event was attended by notable faculty members including Dr Suresh Shenvi, Dr Sonal Joshi, principal Dr Alka Kale, and dean Dr Vinayak Kumbhojkar.
