KLE VK Institute hosts 28th dental conference in Belagavi
The KLE VK Institute of Dental Sciences recently held its 28th Scientific Conference in Belagavi. The event, organized by the Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics along with the Department of Dental Education, featured around 100 scientific presentations. These included essays, posters, and table clinics that showcased the hard work of students and significant research in dental care. The conference was inaugurated by Ushi Mohan Das, a well-known paediatrician and educationist, who served as the chief guest. In her opening speech, she stressed the importance of innovation, ethics, and compassion in the field of dentistry, leaving a lasting impression on attendees. Kritika Dutta, a dentist from Savita Dental College in Chennai, discussed “Minimal Dentistry” and shared modern techniques for treating dental caries. The event also included a pre-conference workshop led by Suresh Shenvi, offering valuable learning for students and doctors from Belgaum and nearby areas. This conference aimed to promote knowledge sharing and professional development in dentistry. It reinforced the KLE VK Institute of Dental Sciences’ commitment to scientific research and ethical practices, helping to shape future dental professionals. The conference was coordinated by Organizing Chairperson Sonal Joshi and Organizing Secretary Suresh Shenvi, with support from Principal Alka Kale and Dean Vinayak Kumbhojkar.
