KLETU and JNCASR sign MoU for research collaboration
KLE Technological University (KLETU) and the Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR) in Bengaluru signed a new agreement on Tuesday. This agreement, known as a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), aims to promote collaborative research between the two institutions. The MoU was signed by KLETU's Vice-Chancellor, P.G. Tewari, and JNCASR's president, G.U. Kulkarni. They were joined by KLETU's Pro-Chancellor, Ashok Shettar, along with faculty members, researchers, and students. The partnership will focus on areas like nanotechnology, biotechnology, and artificial intelligence. During the event, Shivaprasad S.M., Dean of IIT Dharwad, spoke about how research has evolved from early scientific discoveries to modern technologies. Prof. Kulkarni discussed JNCASR's long-standing reputation in nanosciences, emphasizing the potential impact of the MoU. He suggested creating an Advanced School of Instruments to enhance research capabilities. Prof. Shettar noted the importance of this collaboration for India's scientific development. He praised JNCASR's leadership and described the partnership as vital for strengthening the scientific community in the country. The event also featured a talk by Prof. Kulkarni on the topic of Artificial Biological Intelligence (ABI). Several professors from KLETU also attended the signing ceremony.
