Kochi Metro Rail Ltd (KMRL) has started a new bus service to improve public transport in the city. The 'Metro Connect' bus service now operates fully air-conditioned e-feeder buses on the High Court-MG Road circular route. These buses will make stops at key locations, including High Court, MG Road Metro Station, Maharajas Metro Station, General Hospital, Jetty, and Menaka. Three buses will run on this route starting from the High Court Water Metro station. Buses will start service at 7:45 am and continue until 8 pm. They will arrive every 10 minutes. A ticket for a journey of up to five kilometers will cost Rs 20. This new service follows the launch of the 'Metro Connect' service on January 15, which features 33-seater electric buses operating on several routes, including Aluva-Airport and Kalamassery-Infopark. KMRL plans to add services on the Kadavanthra-K P Vallon Road circular route soon.
