Kohberger selfie may link him to Idaho murders
A new selfie of Bryan Kohberger has surfaced, taken just hours after he allegedly killed four college students in Idaho. In the photo, Kohberger is smiling and giving a thumbs up in what looks like a bathroom. This selfie will be presented during his trial as prosecutors build their case. They plan to connect the image to a statement from a surviving housemate, who reported seeing a person with "bushy eyebrows" on the night of the murders. The victims, Kaylee Goncalves, Madison Mogen, Xana Kernodle, and Ethan Chapin, were found dead in their home in November 2022. Kohberger was arrested six weeks later and has pleaded not guilty. The surviving roommate, Dylan Mortensen, described a masked intruder shortly after the attacks. She said she heard voices and saw a man matching Kohberger's description. Mortensen and another housemate sent numerous texts to each other during the panic, fearing for their safety. Kohberger claims he was out driving that night, looking at the stars, but there are no witnesses to support this. Prosecutors also have DNA evidence and cellphone records linking him to the crime scene. The trial continues to develop as more evidence is presented.
