Kolkata businessman found dead after terrace fall

An 82-year-old businessman named Shivlal Yadav was found dead outside his home in Baranagar, Kolkata, on Wednesday night. His body was discovered in a pool of blood shortly after he stepped out for a walk on his terrace. Local residents reported hearing a loud noise at around 9:45 PM. When they rushed outside, they found Yadav lying on the ground. He was taken to Baranagar State General Hospital but was declared dead upon arrival. Police have detained Yadav's son, Rameshwar, who is also a businessman. Allegations suggest that Rameshwar had a history of abusing his father over business conflicts. Witnesses claim Rameshwar assaulted his father just two nights before his death. Family members said Yadav went for his usual evening walk but were confused about how he fell. Neighbors reported seeing a bruise on Yadav's face, indicating he may have been beaten. The case is under investigation, and the body has been sent for an autopsy. Police are continuing to question Rameshwar.
