Hundreds are lining up at the Mohammedan Sporting ground to pick up their physical tickets after buying them online. The atmosphere is lively, especially at the nearby Maidan market, where fans are eager to buy jerseys of their favorite teams. Shikha Chakraborty, who loves MS Dhoni, shared her excitement about the match and the opening ceremony at Eden Gardens. She is thrilled to attend the event, which features Bollywood stars like Disha Patani and singer Shreya Ghoshal. ICC chairman Jay Shah and KKR owner Shah Rukh Khan will also be present. Ticket demand is high, with prices ranging from Rs 900 to Rs 15,000. By Thursday evening, only the more expensive tickets were left. Regular fan Sk Farhad Ali mentioned he secured his tickets early, excited about KKR's chances to defend their title. While some fans are looking for tickets that are no longer sold at counters, many are enjoying shopping at the Maidan market for IPL merchandise. Official jerseys are priced at Rs 2,000, but budget versions are available for Rs 300 to Rs 800. Vendor Abhishek Roy Chowdhury noted that KKR jerseys are the most popular, with RCB and CSK items also selling well.
