Korea's KGM Musso EV sees high demand post-launch
KGM Musso EV is Korea's first electric pickup truck and has quickly gained popularity. It was launched earlier this month and has already attracted significant interest. The Special Edition version sold out in less than two hours. KGM, a South Korean automaker, is known for its rugged vehicles. The Musso EV combines the utility of a pickup truck with the comfort of an SUV. In just two weeks, the vehicle received over 3,200 orders, signaling strong demand. The inside of the Musso EV features a modern design with a panoramic screen and digital clusters. It supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and has optional features like a sunroof and upgraded audio system. The pickup is powered by an 86.6 kWh battery and can travel nearly 250 miles on a single charge. The Musso EV can charge 80% in just 24 minutes and has the ability to power tools and other electronics. It offers both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive options, with powerful motors capable of towing about 4,000 pounds. Starting at around 48 million won (about $32,800), KGM expects many buyers will pay closer to 39.62 million won ($27,000) after incentives. A KGM representative expressed hope that the Musso EV will appeal to a variety of customers and strengthen its presence in the electric vehicle market.
