Krafton announces 2025 roadmap for PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS
Krafton Inc. has announced its roadmap for PUBG: Battlegrounds for 2025. The company has three main goals: to create new content, improve the live service, and ensure the game's long-term sustainability. To build a sustainable future for the game, PUBG will upgrade to current-generation consoles by late 2025. This change will improve performance, frame rates, and graphics. PUBG is also planning to switch to Unreal Engine 5, which will enhance visual quality and future development capabilities. Additionally, a new User-Generated Content (UGC) project will let players create and share custom experiences. Krafton is working on improving the live service to provide a more cohesive experience between different game modes. Changes to Ranked matches will make it easier for players to transition from Normal matches. A major update to the ranking system is also coming in June. Regular balance updates will keep the gameplay exciting, including adjustments to weapons and the introduction of new ones. The game's AI will be improved, making it behave more strategically in battle. As for new content, a significant map update is set for the end of the year. This update will refresh existing maps rather than creating completely new ones. Players can also look forward to new vehicles and features like camouflage nets and enhanced combat feedback. The introduction of animal AI will also add depth to the game environment. Krafton is also boosting its anti-cheat efforts. New technologies are being developed to counter cheating and protect player accounts. This includes using machine learning to detect and ban cheaters in real-time.
