The show stars Adam Brody as Rabbi Noah Roklov and Bell as Joanne, a podcaster focused on sex and dating. The first season was well-received, gaining over 10.3 million views in its first four days after its September 2024 release. Filming for the second season has begun, and Bell recently provided an update from the set. She mentioned that she is currently in her trailer and is feeling great about the new season. "This is when I will depend most on my sleep dupe," she said, acknowledging the challenges of filming, which can lead to less sleep. Leighton Meester, Bell's co-star from Gossip Girl, is also joining the cast as Joanne's “nemesis.” Bell talked about her excitement to work with Meester again, emphasizing how lovely she is. They recently had a table read for an episode featuring Meester, and Bell praised her performance as “fantastic.” The second season will also feature actor Miles Fowler, who plays Lenny, a teammate of Noah's.
