KTR criticizes Congress for 'emergency regime' in Telangana
K.T. Rama Rao, the working president of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), criticized the Congress party for imposing what he called an "emergency regime" in Telangana. He made these remarks during a meeting with party workers in Karimnagar on March 23, 2025. He claimed that Congress is using harsh tactics against BRS supporters. Mr. Rama Rao promised that the BRS would seek justice for its members who have faced harassment. He urged party workers to keep track of those targeting them, saying that such actions would not be forgotten when BRS comes to power. He also mentioned that farmers and other community members are dissatisfied with Congress's governance. Additionally, he attacked the central government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, accusing it of failing to deliver on promises such as creating jobs and depositing money in citizens' accounts. Mr. Rama Rao argued that both Congress and the BJP have a history of deceiving the public. To celebrate its 25th foundation day, the BRS is planning various activities, including a public meeting in Warangal on April 27. Mr. Rama Rao encouraged all party members to participate in making the event successful. The celebrations will include exhibitions and workshops highlighting Telangana's journey and achievements under the leadership of K. Chandrasekhar Rao.
