KUFOS student team departs for training in Norway

A farewell meeting took place at the Chief Minister's office on Wednesday for a student team from the Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies (KUFOS). The 10-member team is set to travel to Norway for practical training in fisheries. They will spend three months at the Norwegian Institute of Food, Fisheries and Aquaculture Research. This training is part of an agreement between the two institutions. Along with the students, a faculty member will also join the trip. Fisheries Minister Saji Cherian and other officials, including KUFOS Vice-Chancellor T. Pradeep Kumar, were present at the farewell. The team will work in advanced laboratories and engage in various research activities in the fisheries field. Minister Cherian emphasized that the knowledge gained during the training will benefit the fisheries sector in Kerala.
