Kukrail Night Safari construction starts in April 2025

Construction of the Kukrail Night Safari and Adventure Park in Lucknow will start in April. This project will take place in two phases. The first phase is expected to be finished in two years and will feature enclosures for 38 animal species. Phase one includes several facilities. These will be an amusement area, a 7D theatre, and an art gallery. There will also be a cafeteria, an entrance plaza, and gateways for visitors. Important areas like a veterinary hospital and a quarantine ward will be built as well. Staff will have living quarters in five residential blocks. Security and visitor services will be enhanced with a modern CCTV system and a public address system. A tram service will be available for visitors, with storage and tracks built for each animal enclosure. The first phase of the project is estimated to cost over Rs 631 crore. The overall budget for the entire project exceeds Rs 1,500 crore. The night safari will cover over 34.59 lakh square metres, primarily for wildlife habitats, which will include a variety of species such as lions, Bengal tigers, and leopards. Additional amenities like roads, landscaping, parking, a 7D theatre with 200 seats, and multiple toilet blocks will also be part of the first phase.
