L.A. judge releases former DEA agent facing multiple charges including road rage and domestic violence

A Los Angeles judge has released former DEA agent James Young, who faces multiple accusations, including road rage, domestic violence, and illegal possession of firearms. Young was previously jailed after deputies found a large cache of weapons and disturbing video footage in his home. Despite concerns about Young's mental health and public safety, the judge allowed his release on his own recognizance. Young was detained again hours later for allegedly breaking into his estranged wife's home, but he was not arrested due to a failure to serve him with a protective order. Young's legal troubles began over two years ago with an incident involving a fellow agent. He is currently under investigation by multiple agencies and is scheduled to appear in court again on October 29.
