Despite leaving the platform, the newspaper will still follow accounts to stay informed and allow its journalists to use X under specific guidelines. The recent US election led to a significant drop in X's user base, with over 115,000 accounts deactivated the day after the election. Meanwhile, alternative platforms like Bluesky and Meta's Threads have seen increased user growth.
