Lafayette Council to discuss recycling incentives for businesses
The Lafayette City Council is planning to discuss new recycling incentives for businesses during a meeting on Tuesday. About 20 businesses may qualify for a $1,150 reward for recycling their waste materials. This initiative comes from a partnership between Lafayette and Boulder County. The program aims to encourage more businesses to recycle by providing financial support. In addition to the recycling incentives, the council will also review an agreement with the county. This agreement aims to help businesses buy reusable items through the Partners for a Clean Environment Program. City officials are also expected to examine an ordinance that addresses global climate issues. The meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m. at Lafayette City Hall, located at 1290 S. Public Road.
