Lake Bled Estate combines AI and traditional architecture

Studio Tim Fu (STF) has launched a major architectural project called the Lake Bled Estate in Slovenia. This development covers 22,000 square meters and combines artificial intelligence (AI) with human creativity. It features seven exclusive villas, including the historic Vila Epos, which was designed in 1909 by architect Jože Plečnik. Tim Fu, the founder of STF, believes that AI should not replace human intuition. Instead, it should help speed up the creative process and improve design quality. The studio uses AI to give new life to local architectural styles. For instance, they have transformed traditional timber enclosures, known as risalits, into vertical atriums. These atriums bring in natural light and offer stunning views of Lake Bled and the Julian Alps. The villas are designed with a unified look. They have sleek white exteriors combined with dark grey roofs. Each residence features a unique round atrium at the front, with black accents that give a modern feel. The estate includes a central communal park, and the villa designs promote both privacy and connection among residents. Surrounded by lush greenery, each home blends in with Slovenia’s beautiful landscape. The use of AI also increases sustainability while keeping the cultural heritage intact. With six modern villas alongside the historic Vila Epos, the Lake Bled Estate sets a new benchmark in AI-assisted architecture and design for the future.
