Lake Drive in Fox Point closed for construction until August

A segment of Lake Drive in Fox Point will be closed for construction starting on Monday. The closure affects a 2.6-mile stretch between Dean Road and School Road. It is expected to last until about August 29. The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) reports that local access will still be available for residents along Lake Drive. However, they are advised to use nearby cross streets to reach their homes. A detour will be in place using North Port Washington Road and East Silver Spring Drive. This construction project will focus on improving the road, replacing water mains, upgrading storm sewers, and enhancing crosswalks. Residents living nearby should remove any private utilities, such as sprinkler systems and electric fences, from the construction area.
