Lando Norris won the Australian Grand Prix after training
Lando Norris won the Australian Grand Prix, partly due to his tough pre-season training. His training included tests for endurance, neck strength, and mental toughness. Despite feeling drained, Norris is focused on his next race in China. Norris described his training as a challenging assessment day. This day, held in Swansea with his coach Jon Malvern, evaluated his physical and mental abilities. Norris said, “Assessment day is a gruesome day of training,” and he was right to be concerned. The day included various tests to assess his performance, starting with body scans. Norris faced sprinting and endurance challenges, one of which pushed him to run all-out for thirty minutes. He also completed neck strength tests to prepare for high-speed turns. Heat tolerance tests were included to mimic the conditions of a real race. After a long day, Norris felt exhausted but knew the value of his efforts. “I’m dead, but for good reasons,” he said. Reflecting on the day, he felt ready to continue his training. Now, with a victory in Melbourne, Norris is preparing for the Chinese Grand Prix. The Shanghai International Circuit will present new challenges with its slow corners and heavy braking. However, Norris is confident that his extreme training will help him succeed. He leads the championship and aims to continue his winning streak.
