Lane closures and construction impact Washtenaw County traffic

Parts of westbound I-94 in Washtenaw County will close this weekend for maintenance. The closure will happen from U.S. 23 to State Street on March 22 and 23. Additionally, the Pontiac Trail bridge at M-14 and U.S. 23 is closed for construction and is set to reopen in June. In Ann Arbor, Packard Road will close its southbound lane starting March 24 for utility work. This closure will last until March 28 between Marlborough Drive and Pine Valley Boulevard. Miller Avenue will also close between Newport Road and Seventh Street on March 24. This closure is expected to continue until July 7 for road improvements. East Washington Street has a lane closed until May 16 due to a construction project. Other traffic disruptions in the area include Church Street, which will remain closed until April 1, 2027, for a high-rise development. A lane on S. Fifth Avenue has been closed since January for a hotel construction and is expected to stay closed until October 31. Various road projects are ongoing in the surrounding townships, including Dexter, Lima, Northfield, Pittsfield, Scio, and Ypsilanti.
