Las Vegas gas prices increased 3 cents last week

Gas prices in Las Vegas have decreased slightly over the past week. The current average price is $3.73 per gallon. This is about 3 cents more than last week, but it's down nearly 56 cents compared to the same time last year. Nationally, the average fuel price is around $3.12 per gallon. Lawton, Oklahoma, has the lowest prices at $2.58, while Lihue, Hawaii, has the highest at $5.12. Recently, the Trump administration announced a pause on tariffs for Canadian and Mexican imports, set to resume on April 2. This could lead to price increases, especially in the Northeast, where prices might rise by 20 to 40 cents per gallon due to reliance on Canadian energy. However, analysts suggest that gas prices might drop next month. This is because the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) plans to increase crude oil production. Nevertheless, uncertainty from U.S. policy decisions could complicate predictions about future prices. In Nevada, the average gas price is $3.75, which is slightly higher than Las Vegas. Diesel prices remain stable at $3.75. Last summer, gas prices peaked at $5.61 in Las Vegas, while diesel reached $6.03.
