Last chance for Americans to claim data breach settlement

Americans have only hours left to claim payments from a settlement related to a data breach at Mercer University. The breach exposed personal information between February 12 and 24, 2023, leading to a class action lawsuit. Eligible individuals received a postcard notice with a Unique ID and PIN to file claims. Payments can reach up to $5,950, depending on the documentation provided, with a deadline to submit claims by March 18, 2025. Mercer University has not admitted wrongdoing but agreed to an undisclosed settlement. A final approval hearing for the settlement is scheduled for April 17, 2025.
