Laura Muir teams up with Olympic medallists Cram and Weightman for new coaching partnership

Laura Muir has announced a new coaching team, consisting of Olympic silver medallist Steve Cram and former rival Laura Weightman. This change comes after her split from long-time coach Andy Young in 2023. Previously, Muir was coached by Steve Vernon, who managed her training leading up to the Paris 2024 Olympics. She expressed gratitude to Vernon for his support during that time. Cram and Weightman bring their own competitive experience to Muir's training. Cram won silver in the 1500m at the 1984 Olympics, while Weightman has earned European and Commonwealth medals.
