Laura Nagel competes in World Championships after 15 years

Laura Nagel from Hawke’s Bay will finally get the chance to compete on the world stage after a long wait. She last represented New Zealand at the world junior championships in 2010. Now, after 15 years, she is set to run at the World Indoor Athletics Championships in China. Despite her long wait, Nagel has been successful in her sport. She has won 16 national titles during this time. Recently, she achieved a notable feat by winning three national titles in the Senior women's category for the 1500m, 3000m, and 5000m. This marks her third time winning these events. She has now been named as one of the 12 athletes to represent New Zealand in Nanjing this weekend.
