Lauren Boebert wins Colorado congressional race and backs Trump for third term

Lauren Boebert has won the race for Colorado's 4th Congressional District, leading her Democratic opponent by 10 percentage points. Following her victory, she called for Republicans to support President-elect Donald Trump in securing what she referred to as his "third term."

Boebert's comments come as Trump has been declared the winner of the 2024 election against Kamala Harris. Trump is set to become the second U.S. president to serve two nonconsecutive terms, following Grover Cleveland.

Boebert, who previously represented Colorado's 3rd District, switched to the 4th District to avoid a rematch with Democrat Adam Frisch. She emphasized her commitment to representing the values of her district in her victory statement.
