Law and order meeting addresses safety and rehabilitation issues

A meeting focused on law and order and road safety took place in Dharmapuri, led by Collector R. Sadheesh. The meeting was held at the Collectorate on Saturday. During the meeting, Collector Sadheesh reviewed cases related to the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and the Domestic Violence Act. He requested updates on complaints filed under these laws and discussed support measures for survivors. Sadheesh emphasized the importance of raising awareness about legal protections. He called on the School Education Department and the police to take quick action in cases of sexual violence against children and women. The Collector also addressed the need for reliable water supply during the summer. He instructed local departments to prepare for potential water shortages to ensure continuous access for residents. A road safety review was conducted as well. The police were tasked with enforcing road rules to improve public safety. Additionally, Mr. Sadheesh discussed the removal of encroachments on water bodies, in line with directives from the Madras High Court.
