Leapmotor launches affordable EVs in the UK market

Chinese electric vehicle maker Leapmotor has entered the UK market with a new SUV, the C10. The vehicle is priced at £36,500, making it much cheaper than its competitor, the upcoming electric Range Rover, which will cost around £104,025. The C10 SUV features a 69.9kWh battery with a range of up to 263 miles. It has a powerful engine that produces 218 horsepower, allowing it to reach 0 to 62 mph in just 7.5 seconds. Inside, the car is equipped with advanced technology, including a 360-degree camera, a heated steering wheel, and a 12-speaker sound system. It also offers a large 14.6-inch touchscreen and ambient lighting that changes with the music. Leapmotor's C10 has received a five-star safety rating from Euro NCAP and comes with a four-year warranty, along with an extended eight-year battery warranty. Damien Dally, the managing director of Leapmotor UK, emphasized the brand's commitment to offering high-quality electric vehicles at affordable prices. In contrast, Range Rover's electric SUV is expected to be released in late 2025. It promises a range of about 300 miles per charge and features fast charging capabilities. The vehicle has undergone extensive testing under extreme conditions. It is set to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.5 seconds.
