Leeds man wins £144k Ferrari in 25p raffle
A man from Yorkshire has won a £144,000 Ferrari supercar after entering a 25p online raffle. Soroush Shemshadi, from Leeds, called winning the Ferrari 488 a "miracle" and the "most wonderful moment" of his life. The 40-year-old was overjoyed after learning he had won the car, which has a top speed of 208 mph. He said, "My dream’s come true." The car can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just three seconds, thanks to its powerful V8 engine. Soroush won the raffle hosted by BOTB, an online car competitions company based in London. This was his first time entering the contest. Despite his excitement, he is considering taking the cash alternative, which could help him return to work. Christian Williams from BOTB shared Soroush’s reaction when he won: “He was speechless - shaking like a leaf!" Whether Soroush keeps the Ferrari or chooses the cash, he is thrilled with his incredible prize. BOTB described the Ferrari 488 as one of the most sought-after supercars worldwide.
