Lifeweaver emerges as a top Overwatch 2 support
A Support hero in Overwatch 2 is gaining attention after receiving a significant buff in the mid-season 15 update. Lifeweaver, previously overlooked, is now positioned to become a key player in the game following these changes. The March 18 patch aimed to balance various character abilities. Lifeweaver benefited greatly, particularly with his Major Perks. The update improved the Superbloom ability, increasing its damage from 30 to 40. Players will also find it easier to trigger this damage boost, as the timing window extended to 2.5 seconds. Though it requires more hits to activate the explosion, overall, this change enhances Lifeweaver's offensive capabilities. Another upgrade affects Lifeweaver's Rejuvenating Dash. This ability now adds 30 healing to the next Healing Blossom, up from 20. Previously, players criticized Lifeweaver for insufficient healing, as his Healing Blossom required time to charge for effective healing. This enhancement allows him to quickly aid teammates who are in trouble. While players cannot use both Major Perks at the same time, the buffs have made Lifeweaver a more adaptable Support. Depending on the scenario, he can either help deal damage or provide crucial healing. If paired with a Mercy, Lifeweaver can act as an additional damage dealer. Alternatively, he can focus on healing when the team is in dire need. With these updates, Lifeweaver is expected to play a dominant role in both Quick Play and Competitive matches as the game moves toward Season 16.
