Liquor trader shot dead in Hayatpur; rivalry suspected
A liquor trader named Baljeet Singh Yadav was shot dead at his farmhouse in Hayatpur on Tuesday. Two other individuals were injured in the attack. The family of Yadav believes that the shooting is linked to rivalries in the liquor business. Baljeet Singh Yadav, who was 50 years old, owned over 30 liquor outlets in the Jhajjar area and a tiles manufacturing factory in Hayatpur. The two injured were identified as his driver, Ravinder Yadav, 27, and his relative, Ram Singh Yadav, 32. The shooting occurred around 3:18 PM while Yadav was resting at home. Witnesses say that two men armed with pistols entered the farmhouse and fired multiple shots at Yadav. The incident was recorded on CCTV. Yadav died at the scene from multiple gunshot wounds. His driver was hit by a bullet, while his relative suffered injuries from a bullet fragment. A family member said that Yadav had recently received threats from a competitor in the liquor business.
