Liverpool brothers’ drug operation in southern England dismantled
A drug trafficking network run by two brothers from Liverpool has been dismantled by police. Anthony and Brian Siner led the operation known as "Scouse Dave," which targeted coastal communities like Gosport and Plymouth. The gang flooded these areas with heroin and crack cocaine. Anthony Siner managed drug sales in Gosport while Brian, who was in prison for previous drug offenses, oversaw the operation in Plymouth. Over a year, the gang supplied at least 25 kg of drugs in Gosport and nearly 10 kg in Plymouth. Hampshire police, with assistance from Merseyside and Devon forces, gathered intelligence to build their case. They observed that gang members operated professionally, with couriers transporting drugs and cash between the regions. During their investigation, police stopped a gang member’s vehicle and seized drugs worth a significant amount. Following arrests, police warned drug users that the operation had been targeted, encouraging them to seek help for addiction. In 2023, both Siner brothers were arrested and later sentenced, along with other gang members. Anthony Siner received 17 years and seven months in prison, while Brian got 15 years and nine months. Several other co-conspirators also received sentences ranging from community orders to lengthy prison terms. Local police officials emphasized that such gangs contribute to violence and crime in communities and highlighted the importance of police collaboration to tackle organized crime.
