Liverpool linked to Bayer Leverkusen's Jonathan Tah
Liverpool is reportedly interested in signing Jonathan Tah, a defender for Bayer Leverkusen, when his contract ends this summer. The 29-year-old German player has spent ten years at Leverkusen and has turned down multiple contract extensions from the club. Tah has been a key player for Leverkusen, making nearly 400 appearances since joining in 2015. He has also represented the German national team 34 times. Along with Liverpool, other clubs like Tottenham Hotspur and Barcelona are also showing interest in him. Arne Slot, Leverkusen's coach, praised Tah as possibly "the best defender in Germany" following a Champions League match against Liverpool in November, which Leverkusen lost 4-0. Slot commented on the tactical decisions he made in that match, highlighting Tah's skills. Liverpool may need a new defender if Virgil van Dijk does not renew his contract. The team aims to strengthen its lineup ahead of next season.
