A restaurant owner in Liverpool is upset after a man stole an iPad from her shop. The incident happened on February 11 at Haute Dolci, where 26-year-old Nedwah Abdo was alone. The man waited outside until she was busy before taking the iPad from behind the counter. Nedwah noticed the man acting suspiciously. He stood outside looking into the restaurant for about five minutes. She thought he was just looking at the menu when he quickly unplugged the iPad and put it in his jacket. The theft was captured on CCTV, which has been shared with local media. This is not the first time the restaurant has been targeted. Nedwah recalled another theft when someone took a tip jar just after they opened in August 2023. She expressed her frustration, noting that the small family-run business struggles with such losses. The tablet cost around £250, which they now have to replace. Nedwah said the thefts demoralize her staff, who work hard and depend on tips. Merseyside Police are investigating and have called for anyone with information to come forward.
