Liverpool urged to re-sign 11-goal winger Paixao

Arne Slot has been encouraged to sign Igor Paixao for Liverpool. The Brazilian winger was originally signed by Slot when he managed Feyenoord. Rob Jacobs, a former Feyenoord player and coach, believes Paixao would be an upgrade over current Liverpool player Cody Gakpo. This season, Paixao has scored 11 goals and provided 15 assists in 38 games for Feyenoord. He has a total of 32 goals and 25 assists in 120 matches for the club. Paixao has been linked to Liverpool in the past. Jacobs argues that bringing him to Anfield could strengthen the team. He suggests that Paixao is better than Gakpo, who has scored a career-high 16 goals for Liverpool this season. Jacobs said, "I really think he makes Liverpool stronger." He praised Paixao’s development, describing him as goal-oriented and a dangerous player for Feyenoord. He believes Liverpool could easily afford a transfer fee of around €40 to €50 million. Paixao's skills have caught attention, and Jacobs noted his remarkable ability to score goals, calling him "pure class."
