Lokayukta police raid Mysuru Palace Board office

Mysuru: The Lokayukta police conducted a raid at the Mysuru Palace Board office on Tuesday. This action is part of an investigation into alleged irregularities with ticket collections at the famous Mysuru Palace. The raid lasted about four hours and may continue into Wednesday. The investigation is being carried out under the Karnataka Lokayukta Act of 1984. After the search, investigators plan to report their findings to the Lokayukta. This raid follows a complaint that led to an initial investigation in May 2024. An official mentioned that the Lokayukta had previously requested information from the Palace Board to address the ticketing issues. The Palace Board is led by the chief secretary, while the district collector (DC) of Mysuru serves as the executive officer. The Mysuru DC was not available for comment.
