It was previously considered lost and is now recognized as part of the 7,000 silent films listed by the Library of Congress as missing. The film was discovered by intern Dan Martin at Lauro’s Historic Films Archive. Directed by Francis Ford, it depicts American life during the Civil War and runs for 65 minutes. Film archivist Eliot Kissileff successfully digitized the film, which was preserved in sealed cans. The archive's owner, Joe Lauro, plans to add a score to the film, highlighting its significance in American cinema history.
