Longmont's tree sale continues with remaining inventory available

Longmont's Spirit of Arbor Day tree sale still has trees available for purchase. City officials have confirmed there are some left after the initial lottery sale. Each tree costs $50. Residents can view the available options on the city’s website. The sale aims to increase tree coverage on private property. This can help reduce the heat during hot summer months and support the climate. Longmont hopes to reach a goal of 18% tree canopy across the city in the future. The sale is supported by a donation from the Platte River Power Authority. Trees purchased will be delivered during the week of April 21.
