Lord Andrew Stone faces six-month suspension for bullying staff over suitcase incident
Lord Andrew Stone faces a six-month suspension from the House of Lords for bullying staff, marking his third violation of Parliament's rules on harassment. The House of Lords Conduct Committee found he displayed a "clear pattern" of poor behavior. The latest incident involved Stone bullying two security officers over an unattended suitcase. He used an aggressive tone, raised his voice, and made derogatory remarks, including calling one officer "thick and stupid." Stone previously faced sanctions for sexual harassment in 2019 and was warned about future behavior. The Conduct Committee noted his lack of improvement and urged him to seek professional support. Peers will vote on the suspension in early 2025.
