A Louisiana school administrator has been arrested for allegedly forcing a six-year-old student to clean up her own feces after an accident at school. Kristy Scott Gilpin, who worked as an assistant principal at Rollins Place Elementary in Zachary, turned herself in to police. She faces a felony charge of cruelty to juveniles related to the incident that took place two months ago. The child’s mother, Jamisha Augustine, reported that her daughter has a dairy allergy and had informed school officials about it. Despite this, the girl consumed milk for breakfast and became sick. When she asked to go to the bathroom, Gilpin reportedly denied her request. After the child had an accident, Gilpin allegedly told her she was too big to be having accidents and needed to be disciplined. According to Augustine, Gilpin then instructed her daughter to wear gloves and clean up the mess herself. The mother expressed deep concern, questioning why a young child should be punished for an accident. Augustine emphasized that the school should have sent a janitor to handle the situation properly. Following a months-long investigation, police found surveillance footage showing the child cleaning up after herself. Gilpin was arrested and held at East Baton Rouge Parish Jail, later released on a $25,000 bond. The mother condemned the incident as disgraceful and inappropriate for a school environment.
