Louisville coach Jeff Walz downplays Hailey Van Lith
Louisville women's basketball coach Jeff Walz reacted strongly when asked about facing his former player, Hailey Van Lith, in the upcoming NCAA Tournament. Van Lith now plays for TCU. When a reporter asked about the chemistry between Van Lith and TCU teammate Sedona Prince, Walz was not pleased. He responded, "What do you mean? They're both great players. It's not like they've reinvented the game." Despite his initial irritation, Walz did eventually acknowledge the talent of both players. He emphasized the importance of preparing for a strong TCU team, rather than focusing solely on Van Lith’s past at Louisville. The match-up is important for both teams as they aim for a spot in the Sweet 16. Walz seems determined to concentrate on the overall challenge rather than personal narratives. The outcome will be determined on the court soon.
