LPG cylinder explosion leaves 120 homeless in Lucknow

A major fire caused by an LPG cylinder explosion left over 120 people homeless in a slum area of Lucknow on Saturday afternoon. The fire destroyed 20 shanties near the Engineering Crossing, according to the fire department. Some residents were trapped in their huts when the fire started but were able to escape safely. Witnesses reported seeing thick black smoke rising from the blaze, which could be seen from more than five kilometers away. Firefighters quickly arrived at the scene after receiving emergency alerts. They deployed hoses to control the flames. Mangesh Kumar, the chief fire officer, said that many belongings, including a van, three motorcycles, and around 10-12 bicycles, were lost in the fire. Firefighters worked hard to stop the fire from spreading to nearby areas. The authorities are now looking into what caused the explosion. They are also setting up relief efforts for the affected families.
