A man in Lucknow has been arrested for killing his wife and trying to make it look like an accident. The incident happened in the Nagram area. The accused, Tilakram, is 35 years old, and his wife, Malti, was 30. On March 16, Tilakram took Malti to a local fair and later to her aunt’s house. He bought her goods and pretended to be caring. However, he had a plan. He asked for a stick, claiming it was to scare away nilgai on their way home. Tilakram and his friend, Rajesh, attacked Malti on the way back. After the attack, Tilakram called a relative, saying Malti had been in an accident. They took her to a private hospital, but doctors said she needed a better facility. Tilakram refused to transfer her and Malti died later that night. The case became suspicious when Malti's uncle filed a complaint on March 18. He said Malti had suffered years of abuse from Tilakram. A postmortem revealed that her injuries were inflicted before she died, proving it was murder, not an accident. Police arrested Tilakram and Rajesh and recovered the stick used in the attack. They are now in judicial custody as the investigation continues.
