Lucknow sees increased sehri dining during Ramzan 2025
During Ramzan, Lucknow becomes a vibrant city, filled with celebrations that last through the night. The atmosphere is lively, especially during iftar and sehri, when families and friends come together to enjoy the special meals. Many youngsters and families are now enjoying their sehri at various food spots across the city. New food courts at Chota Imambara and traditional restaurants near Akbari Gate and in Aminabad are popular choices. There has been a noticeable increase in sehri dining out this year. Sheeraz Manzar, who owns Wamesh Café, mentions a huge demand for food during sehri. He notes that his restaurant is almost always full as people flock for grilled dishes and biryani. Mohd Shavez, a hotel management student, shares that the vibrant food scene has encouraged him and his friends to step out together before the early morning prayer, making it a new tradition. Homemakers also appreciate the chance to dine out. Saba Husain, a local homemaker, believes that spending time with family for the morning meal is a welcome break from cooking at home, especially after preparing for iftar. This trend shows how Ramzan brings people together, both in spirit and over shared meals.
